Into it's 4th year!

"Deadman's Curse" the graphic novel, a work in progress, was started to make use of both writing and image skills together in one project. A comic version seemed to be the perfect vehicle. Lightwave3D is being used as the main software program to create the objects & scenes in the panels, ZBrush for some of the textures and PaintShopPro forthe rest of the textures as well as the page layouts.

It was started in September of 2005 with a few drawings and a basic idea for the story. The first chapter, "Mary Mary", has been written and the second chapter started..

The story so far:

After meeting with Decay in the graveyard, Jix the Fox hands the lantern over to Hebe. The lantern leads them both to Mary's house. There they find her in the bathtub upstairs in the old Victorian house . . .

4th Anniversary of "Deadman's Curse"

So it's now been 4 years since this story was started with a small idea on 13th September 2005, never knowing then if it would become anything more than just a sketch and a skeleton of an idea. It bloomed, became more, gathered speed, the story started to form slowly and gained its complexity. The characters started to take on an undead life of their own as things progressed. The workload within Lightwave started to increase, and despite a few frustrating techinical problems last year, this past year (2009) has been the most fruitful.

A big thankyou to all those people who have commented with valuable feedback and given constructive critique through the various forums, it has been very helpful in terms of encouragement and improving the quality of the work done . . . and just to be able to keep going. It makes it all worth it.

There is still a long way to go with this project, another 3 stories after this first one of "Mary Mary". This first story is due to be finished by the end of this year and then go into edit mode in prepartaion for publishing in 2010.
